Two routes lead to the Legal Education Certificate — the professional qualification for admission to practise in participating territories.

Two-Year Programme

Full-time programme leading to the Legal Education Certificate, recognised in participating territories as the professional qualification for admission to practice.

A Message from the Principal

The Norman Manley Law School has a rich history of providing practical legal training and education. Through advocacy, mooting, the Legal Aid Clinic, the West Indian Law Journal, research and community service, we prepare graduates who are competent, ethical and ready to serve the region.

We remain committed to scholarship, professional excellence and service to the people of the Commonwealth Caribbean.

Legal Aid Clinic

Practical training. Real community impact.

The Legal Aid Clinic is the practical training arm of NMLS. Under supervision, law students assist legal practitioners with cases — providing valuable experience for students and free legal support to members of the public.

External Clients

The RPLE Unit delivers short certificate courses, workshops and seminars on current legal issues, alongside research and publications — including the Insolvency Practitioner Qualification Course.
